Your Very Own ARTIST was established in 2005 by freelance artist & graphic designer

In addition to being a mom and working a full-time job outside the house, I make it a
point to squeeze in every last second of available time do do what I love most- being
creative! I love working with all materials in any media.
I’m a trained artist comprising of two years Fine Arts instruction and two years of Graphic
Design training. In the past, I have worked as a freelance Graphic Designer for Haus
Interactive based in Brooklyn, NY. With Haus, I was tasked with designing for their high
level accounts such as Psychology Today magazine, teany café beverage and bottling
company and Sussex Publishers. I have also worked as an artist for Logo’s and T-shirts in

the media’s of embroidery, airbrush and silk screen design. My children's fine art portraiture series titled, “Designs of Diversity” started selling
like wildfire on eBay with purchasers mainly being daycares, children’s hospitals and children’s community recreation centers around the
country. However, I also had a strong client base with individual collectors for whom I painted custom pieces resembling their own children.
This series was also featured as standard inventory and monthly special exhibits on iCelebratediversity.com, a website selling multi-cultural
gifts that encourage peace, unity and positive self-esteem.
Your Very Own Artist started with my love for creating custom work that is unique and pertains to that particular person.
My feel-good painted series “The Little Things” has also been a high seller on eBay under the Self-Representing artist category as well as
carried in the Cuz-I Gotta Have It folk and fine art gallery in Pawleys Island, SC. I have also been commissioned by Wood Naturally in
Hereford and Douglasville, Pa to design and maintain their website, woodnat.com, as well as promotional media for advertising. They have
also been so kind as to feature my hand-painted outdoor products on their lots and at trade shows. I received the Lisa Hoppe Art Award in
1998 for achievement in Fine Art. I have designed, organized and created wall murals for schools and my work has been featured in
independent galleries across my local region. And if you want to count a lifetime of originality and creativity as a credential, go right ahead!
Your Very Own Artist started with my love for creating custom work that is unique and pertains to that particular person and my relationship to
them. For years I have been creating gifts for my family and friends for not only standard gift giving holidays but just to show them how much
they mean to me. Over time, through word of mouth, my friend’s friends and friends of the family would commission me to create
personalized work as gifts for their loved ones and so on. There is nothing like the reaction you receive when someone opens a gift and it
captures the essence of the relationship/time/moment or even an inside joke!
Please look through my website and read the descriptions about each piece for I feel if as if they are a good interpretation of why each gift is
special to the occasion (or sometimes some times for no occasion at all – I love those!). Who knows? You may even be inspired to give
inspired to give such a unique gift to someone who has touched your life. If so, let me know. I am here to be Your Very Own Artist.
Peace and Love.
